Our Pastor

    Rev. Stephen Duncan began his ministry as a Youth Pastor in Avery County, located in the Mountains of North Carolina.  After serving in this position for a year, he surrenderred to his call to preach in 2012.  He was ordained into the Gospel Ministry in 2014 and began his path to full time ministry.  He is currently in his final semester at Fruitland Baptist Bible College, and has served in fulltime ministry since 2017.

    Pastor Duncan and his family joined the Shady Grove Baptist Church family in November of 2019.  Stephen has been married to his wife, Stacy for 13 years.  He has four children; Lacey, Callista, Hudson and Sawyer Duncan.  Pastor Duncan's heart is in the Gospel ministry, and the call of the Great Commission, to see Souls saved, lives changed, and disciples made.
